How much does it cost?

This is a custom sailing charter business and cost depends on what our customers are looking for. You may want a two day one overnight stay all aboard the boat with no hotel or restaurant reservations. An example of a trip like that would cost $800. which includes meals.

How does your product/service work?

Captain Dave goes over YOUR expectation, to consul with you to understand what interest you most, what activity YOU really want to do. We've learned over the years everyone has different expectations, plus there are so many options. Sometimes it's a guys group that just wants to go golfing, other times it's hikers wanting to do the 37.6 mile Trans-Catalina Trail. If it's SCUBA diving you're interested in, Captain Dave is a PADI Dive Master/Instructor and knows all the good spots to dive.

How about extended days, how much does it cost?

For extended days and hotels cost begin to add up, but only because of hotels if that's a choice you make. But count on $400 dollars a day plus any additional accommodations at hotels.

How many people and be accommodated?

The 2006 Catalina 350 is a family styed vessel and can accommodate up to 7 passengers, however Captain Dave uses the aft cabin witch accounts for two passengers so we have a five passenger guest maximum. Five verses two passengers slightly raises the cost due to meals.

Why not just take the express and book a hotel?

Great question, Catalina Express offers two way passage to the island and back for about 88 bucks. Reservations are tough for rooms but it is possible in Avalon even during Summer and a typical run from $150 to $800 per night. It's a good way to go but it's not personal or private. It's really about the 'local' experience you get with Catalina Sailing Charters and the options you likely may never experience like dolphin and whale encounters or private anchorages.
